Datin Chan-Low Kam Yoke
Datin Chan-Low Kam Yoke is the Chairperson and Group Chief Executive Officer of HELP International Corporation (HIC). In 2005, she was appointed Officier de l’Ordre National du Mérite by President Jacques Chirac of France for her contribution to the development of educational and cultural collaboration between France and Malaysia. She was conferred an honorary Doctorate of the University by the University of Queensland, Australia and was also named the Ernst & Young Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2011. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Geography, a Diploma in Education and Master in Economics from the University of Malaya.
Dr Goh Chee Leong
Dr Goh Chee Leong currently serves as the CEO of HELP International School, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Behavioural Science at HELP University. He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Otago in New Zealand. He was the President of the ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies (ARUPS) and is President of the Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA). He has also served as the project leader for several UNICEF interventions in Malaysia.
Dr Khong Kim Hoong
Dr Khong Kim Hoong is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of HELP University. He graduated from the University of Malaya, won a Ford Foundation Fellowship, and completed his PhD in Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh. He taught at the University of Malaya and has held Visiting Fellowships at Ohio University, University of Sydney and the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore).
Professor Dato’ Dr Zakaria Ahmad
Prof Dato’ Dr Zakaria Ahmad is the Deputy Vice- Chancellor (Research) of HELP University. He received his BSocial Sciences (Hons) from the University of Singapore, his MA from McMaster University and his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has held the Tun Razak Chair at Ohio University. He is now serving his third term as a Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia.
Mr Adam Chan Eu-Khin
Mr Adam Chan is the Executive Director of HELP International Corporation (HIC). He received his education in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, China and Japan. He graduated with a BA from the University of Adelaide and an MA in Communications Management from the University of South Australia. Other than his involvement in the establishment of HELP International School, he is also a member of the HELP University Council, HELP University International Council and a director of HELP University. He is also currently a Board of Trustee of Project Self-HELP(PSH), which has trained nearly 1,000 students in English, Culinary Arts and Information Technology and is aiming to work with tertiary educational groups to provide pathways for the refugees to obtain a tertiary degree.
Dr D Gerard Louis
Dr Gerard Louis joined the Board of Governors in January 2015 after his 2-year stint as the Founding Principal of HELP International School. Dr Gerard has been involved in the field of education for over 25 years, spending many years involved at the senior management level of both public and private schools. During his 12 years with HELP University, he lectured in courses in counselling and psychology and was the director of CAREERsense@HELP. He obtained his doctorate in counselling psychology at De la Salle University, Manila.
